The YRO surge protector device is engineered for robust defense against lightning induced surges and voltage irregularities. It intercepts transient high voltage spikes triggered by storms, grid instability, or equipment switching, safeguarding connected devices from operational risks. Certified under global safety protocols, the unit integrates T1 and T2 protection modes with a peak discharge capacity of 6.25kA. Its fire resistant housing meets stringent material testing standards, delivering operational stability through dual technical safeguards.

Surge protector device (also called transient voltage) refers to a sudden and intense fluctuation in voltage or current, which may be caused by lightning strikes, power grid failures, or the switching on/off of large electrical appliances. These abrupt surges can damage electrical devices and even cause fires. The function of the YRO surge protector device is to quickly divert excess electrical energy to the ground, when a surge occurs, preventing equipment damage.
The YRO surge protector device is classified as T1+T2 level. T1-level surge protectors can withstand direct lightning currents, and are typically installed at the main electrical panel entrance (first line of defense). T2-level surge protectors mainly guard against residual lightning surges and interference from electrical switching, and they are usually installed in sub-panels or in front of devices like computers and refrigerators. In short: T1 protects the entire building, while T2 protects individual equipment.
The B and C classifications are from the old German standard (DIN VDE) and can be considered equivalent to T1+T2.
For higher safety assurance, it is recommended to purchase a surge protector with dual T1+T2 protection.
The YRO surge protector’s housing is made of flame retardant material, ensuring that it does not overheat and catch fire even in abnormal operating conditions, further enhancing safety. It has also passed CE certification and complies with the internationally recognized IEC 61643 standard, confirming that its quality is industry approved, making it more compliant and reliable for exports and project installations.
High Discharge Capacity: Withstands 6.25kA current surges, suitable for most homes and factories.
Dual Protection (T1+T2): The surge protector device handles both large lightning strikes and minor grid fluctuations, providing comprehensive protection.
Flame Retardant Housing: Made of fire resistant material, the outer shell prevents ignition even during short circuits or overheating.
Tool free slot-in modules: The surge protector device is a pluggable module structure, easy to install and replace, no need to rewire.
Good compatibility: surge protector device can be used with common electrical equipment such as distribution boxes and cabinets without special modification.
