The term “fuse” may sound technical, but its function is simple. When the current suddenly increases beyond what the equipment can handle, it sacrifices its internal DC fuse link to cut off the circuit, preventing subsequent equipment damage or safety hazards like fires. Note: It’s the fuse link that cuts the circuit, not the photovoltaic fuse holders. The fuse link is placed inside the fuse holders and can be replaced after failure.
The advantage of the YRO photovoltaic fuse holders is its CE certification, along with an appearance patent—quality and aesthetics are both firmly held by YRO. Our industrial photovoltaic fuse holders use quartz sand as the filling material, which offers two benefits:
- Quartz sand has excellent insulation and high-temperature stability, quickly absorbing arc energy to help extinguish arcs, and prevent damage to the fuse and circuit.
- Quartz sand has high heat resistance, maintaining stability in high-temperature environments, and preventing deformation or damage to the fuse.
