When the current exceeds the safety value, the metal wire inside the fuse core will melt rapidly, cutting off the circuit. gPV stands for conversion to photovoltaic system design. “g” indicates full-range breaking capability, and “PV” indicates dedicated to photovoltaic DC systems. The most typical application scenario is the DC combiner box, which provides short-circuit protection at the output end of the combiner box to prevent the superposition of multiple series and parallel currents from damaging the equipment.
In addition, its breaking capacity is 20kA, which means that even if a short-circuit current as high as 20,000 amperes suddenly occurs, it can quickly and safely disconnect. This capability is of great significance in photovoltaic scenarios. Sometimes the line distance is long and the voltage is high. Once a short circuit occurs, the current will be very large. Without sufficient breaking capacity, it is simply impossible to stop it.
